Now that the weather’s officially been warming up, I’ve been on the prowl for summer & spring clothing essentials. I’m always really excited for this time of year because florals are always big and because it’s really the first opportunity in over 3 months that I can wear a skirt instead of jeans or leggings.
Sorry that this post is a day late but I got back last night from Elon University and was so wiped from playing frisbee all weekend that I passed out and slept for almost 12 hours… And while I’m always a fan of sleeping and napping but even I know that’s a bit excessive. I’m not complaining though because I got to spend the majority of this weekend outside enjoying the sun and running around with my teammates so it was an amazing two days.
I spent the last few days of spring break a few weeks ago at my friend Hana’s house, who lives just outside of Washington DC. With a little nudging (i.e. continuous bugging), Hana agreed to take me downtown for the afternoon so that I could once again walk around one of my favorite cities. We were only in DC for a few hours and during most of our visit it rained cats and dogs. But even rain can’t cover the beauty of our nation’s capital!
So much sushi was eaten that weekend and I’m not one to complain about that.
Another week has already gone by! I had a few papers and an exam this week but I survived many a late night in the library and am happy to be on the other side. And, as you’ll see, most of my “happy” moments from this week revolve around food which shouldn’t be too surprised… Anyways I hope that everyone has had an amazing Easter weekend and even if you don’t celebrate Easter, I hope that you enjoyed the long weekend.
It’s crazy to think that at this time just last week I was lounging by the pool in Cancun with a piña colada in my hand. Although going to classes can’t really compare, it’s been nice to be back on campus with all of my friends and back to my normal routine. And since spring has officially begun I’m excited for the temperatures to start warming up and for the trees to grow back their leaves. Fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later!
