Another week has already gone by! I had a few papers and an exam this week but I survived many a late night in the library and am happy to be on the other side. And, as you’ll see, most of my “happy” moments from this week revolve around food which shouldn’t be too surprised… Anyways I hope that everyone has had an amazing Easter weekend and even if you don’t celebrate Easter, I hope that you enjoyed the long weekend.
My Top 5 Moments:
1. I finally finished House of Cards this week! It took me about a month with school and what not but I watched the last episode earlier this week and it was amazing. Definitely a must-watch and I don’t know if I can wait a full year for season four.
2. This weekend it was sunny and warm outside for the first time in forever so my boyfriend and I decided to take advantage of the weather and have a picnic. We grabbed sandwiches from a local deli that I’m obsessed with and then ate in the gardens of the Reynolda House. The flowers were blooming all around us and afterward we walked around the trails.
3. I got to pet-sit my friend’s kitten while she went home for Easter and it’s been an absolute dream. He’s a bit rowdy at night but he’s so adorable and I am a huge cat person so I’ve loved ever minute.
- My dad came up this weekend to visit me for Easter which was nice because I decided not to go home because of an interview I have to prepare for on Monday. On Saturday night we went to dinner at a new restaurant called Hakka Chow, which is Asian fusion. So yummy and I found out that they do a sushi special on Sundays so I’ll definitely be going back soon.
5. My dad, boyfriend and I got Easter brunch at the Village Tavern this morning and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict with sriracha Hollandaise and sides of fruit and a pumpkin-pecan muffin. I’d never been to brunch at Village Tavern and it was way better than anything I expected. I’m also really loving the new jean jacket that I bought at Target recently. So glad that they’re finally back in fashion again!
How was y’all’s week?
