Last week we had what every college student dreams about during the winter–a snow day. And the best part is that Tuesdays and Thursdays are my busiest days of the week so I got to relax and hang out with my friends instead of being stuck in class, watching the snow fall. So Tuesday morning my roommate and I dragged ourselves out of bed to play in the snow and meet our other friends for brunch.
I’ve been rocking my Bean boots for the past few weeks now and I am so glad that I invested in a pair last year. They make walking in the snow and ice so much easier and I never feel like I’m going to slip when I’m wearing them.
I used the camera I got as a Christmas present for the first time in a while and so I went a little crazy taking pictures of all of the snow around campus. My friends were good sports about it though and waited for me to get all of my artsy shots.
After brunch, four of us headed back up to the northern part of campus and to take pictures in front of Wait Chapel.
And I even got Hana to pose for pictures with me. Best snow day present ever.
One of my pictures even got featured on the Wake Forest instagram page, which has been a goal of mine for the past year! It made me feel quite special and somewhat of a campus celebrity.
After our little outdoor photo shoot, we all headed over to my friends’ house to have a marathon of The Bachelor. I kicked back for the rest of the day, nice and snuggly under a blanket, with my friend’s cat and a beer. Not a bad way to spend a snow day, if I may say so myself!
Fingers crossed that we get enough snow tonight for another snow day!!
