Hawaii Travel

Iao Valley

December 14, 2015

Can someone fly me back to Hawaii please? Although I really can’t complain about the weather up here in Connecticut lately because it’s been absolutely gorgeous, I’m still missing the surf, sand, and sun of Maui. And that’s just one reason that I’m so excited to share the pictures I took on my trip with you guys over the next few days! It’s just another excuse to daydream about being back on island time.

Funnily enough, one of my favorite things that I did with my dad was up in the mountains and not on the beach. On my second day, we drove up to Iao Valley and explored one of the island’s worst kept secrets.

Mozelle’s Fresh Southern Bistro

November 23, 2015

Being in a long distance relationship can be hard, and expensive, but getting to finally see each other after weeks or even months apart is always worth it. A few weeks back, I flew down to North Carolina to visit M for the weekend since we weren’t sure when the next we’d get to see each other would be. After spending the majority of Saturday sleeping in and then stopping by to hang out with a few of my other friends, we both got all dressed up for dinner at my favorite restaurant in Winston-Salem.

Mozelle’s is known for fresh, southern-inspired cuisine and I have to say that I’ve loved every meal, which is saying something because I ate there quite frequently when my parents were in town or when I could drag one of my friends along with me.

Eat & Drink New York City Restaurants

The Pool Room, Four Seasons Restaurant

October 22, 2015

A few weeks ago, I was in New York City with my dad for a long weekend to take a class at NYU and also to take the GOES TSA Precheck interview, so I was pretty busy and running from place to place. On our second night in the city, dad took me to a restaurant that he’s always loved and that he wanted to introduce me too now that I’m a “young professional”–The Pool Room in the Four Seasons.

We took a cab to the restaurant, racing through Manhattan, watching as the rain poured around us. Am I the only one who thinks that New York is romantic in the rain? Obviously not when I’m with my dad, but the idea of walking down the street and sharing an umbrella with your significant other just sound like such a romantic idea.

Eat & Drink New York City

October 12, 2015

Before my boyfriend brought up going to Smorgasburg a few weeks before our trip to New York City, I’d never actually heard of it before. Which is saying something considering the fact that I did a ton of instagram stalking while planning the trip to look for ideas.

So on that Saturday, we headed out (after ordering bagels on Seamless of course) and made our way across the Williambsurg Bridge and meandered on over to Brooklyn.

Jack’s Wife Freda

September 30, 2015

New York City is one of those places that just seems to have it all. Stylish people, fascinating museums, and, of course, more food and restaurants than I think I’d ever be able to try in my life (even though I’d love to try!). In particular, there was one restaurant that I’d been dying to try for what feels like forever now after seeing countless blog and instagram posts dedicated to their food–Jack’s Wife Freda.

New York City

Top of the Rock

September 22, 2015

Let me tell you about one of New York City’s worst-kept secrets–Top of the Rock. I’d seen a bunch of instagram posts dedicated to this bird’s eye view of the city, and so when boyfriend and I were visiting for the weekend I knew that we had to go see it for ourselves.
