Are y’all as ready as I am for winter?? After the snow storm earlier this week, which ended up only totaling about 7 inches rather than the two feet predicted (thank goodness!), I am definitely ready for spring to get it’s act together and bring back the warm temperatures.
Despite the weather being less than stellar, I have to admit that March has been an extremely good month for shopping–and by good, I mean good for my closet, not for my bank account!
I’m not sure how y’all did the majority of your Black Friday shopping, but I did all of my shopping cozy in bed with a cup of tea and a cat on my lap. So basically how I do all of my online shopping, just with better deals and sales!
I take my skincare regimen very seriously. I was very unfortunately not blessed with clear skin and so the fight to keep my face from looking like one giant pimple is one that I battle every night. And after years of trying out different moisturizers and being told what cleansers I should try by dermatologists, I think that I’ve finally perfected my nightly skin care routine. Obviously I still get pimples from time to time, but nothing as bad as it used to be in high school (thank goodness)!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent most of the past two days sleeping in, watching Netflix (they’re taking Legally Blonde off of instant streaming in November, which is a total crime), and enjoying all of the sunshine on Sunday after a rainy couple of days. Matt came up to visit me for the weekend and we finally got to test out my brand new crockpot by making this beef stew recipe. Lots of ingredients but so delicious!!
Now that it’s starting to get a little cooler, I’ve been on top of finding new sweaters and coats these past few weeks. And while I haven’t actually had much use for them yet (and I’m sure that my credit card is getting too much of a workout), my closet is all ready for winter!
It’s a sad but undeniable truth that summer can’t last forever. The weather will turn cooler, the days will grow shorter, and the leaves will start changing before we know it. And while the start of fall means the end of summer, it doesn’t have to mean the end of your favorite summer clothes. So, before you pack away your go-to warm-weather pieces, try out these quick styling tips that will easily bridge the gap between seasons.
I love summer. The heat, the sunshine, the excuse to wear shorts and sundresses wherever you go, I love it all. The only thing that I don’t look forward too though is showing off my feet in flip flops, which is a necessity when you’re hanging out by the pool.
While I feel like I’m usually on top of my beauty regimens year round, I sometimes can forget about my feet during the winter since I don’t actually see them much (shout out to all of my ankle boots). But now that summer and open-toe shoe weather is quickly approaching, it’s time to start refocusing my attention down to my toes.
To make sure that my feet don’t look to gross after too many gym sessions or trying to fit my wide feet into shoes that don’t properly fit, I like to pamper my feet a few times a week to make sure that they’re baby soft and so that the manicurist doesn’t look away in disgust at my poor calluses. Life is tough during the summer when you have ugly feet!
