I love summer. The heat, the sunshine, the excuse to wear shorts and sundresses wherever you go, I love it all. The only thing that I don’t look forward too though is showing off my feet in flip flops, which is a necessity when you’re hanging out by the pool.
While I feel like I’m usually on top of my beauty regimens year round, I sometimes can forget about my feet during the winter since I don’t actually see them much (shout out to all of my ankle boots). But now that summer and open-toe shoe weather is quickly approaching, it’s time to start refocusing my attention down to my toes.
To make sure that my feet don’t look to gross after too many gym sessions or trying to fit my wide feet into shoes that don’t properly fit, I like to pamper my feet a few times a week to make sure that they’re baby soft and so that the manicurist doesn’t look away in disgust at my poor calluses. Life is tough during the summer when you have ugly feet!
If you’re like me and looking for tips for beautiful (or at least the closest that you can get to naturally beautiful) feet, here are some of my favorite products!
Pumice Stone // I feel like everyone and their mother probably has a pumis stone lying around somewhere in their bathroom, but that’s because they get the job done quick and effectively at a relatively cheap price! I get calluses most often on my heel and the side of my foot near my big toe, so I like to buff my feet a few times in the summer just to keep them smooth and sandal ready. Just be sure that you soak your feet in warm water beforehand, or doing it in the shower is fine too!
Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Crème // Shoutout to Burt’s Bees for always having the best natural beauty products for the cheapest prices! Although the consistency of this crème is like honey and thus a bit sticky, I have yet to find a foot moisturizer that leaves my feet this soft without leaving a greasy feeling behind. I usually use this foot cream twice a week and apply before going to bed, covering with socks so that the crème doesn’t get all over my sheets. Not only does this cream smell delicious, but it helps enhance the benefits of the pumis stone further by softening up any cracked skin.
I also find that painting my nails a cute color is good motivation to keep my feet looking healthy since I always want to show them off to friends!
Do y’all have a favorite foot care fave? I really want to try the Baby Foot exfoliant but the results kind of freak me out haha!
