Whenever someone compliments my skin, I automatically get all flustered and it literally makes me happy for the rest of the day. That’s because, in truth, I’ve battled acne for the best 10 years… Which at times got so bad that I would come home from school when I was 13/14 and cry because I thought that I was so ugly.
Luckily after years of learning how to deal with my skin and mastering which face washes, moisturizers, etc. work best with my sensitive skin, I’ve come to be comfortable in my own skin and not worry that everyone’s staring at me. I still get the occasional breakout on my chin (grrr hormonal breakouts) but otherwise my skin stays relatively clear.
But what still plagues me to this day are the blackheads that stubbornly refuse to budge on my nose. And even though I know that I’m probably the only one who notices them, I just find them so annoying every time I look at my skin closeup in the mirror (note to self: let’s stop scrutinizing yourself in the terrible bathroom light).
But now that I’ve found Glamglow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment, those blackheads don’t stand a chance. Developed my dermatologists, the Supermud Clearing Treatment “visibly draws out dirt and congestion while a proprietary six-acid blend dramatically brightens and softens skin.” Which basically means that it’s the worst nightmare of those stubborn blackheads that refuse to budge by magically (I’m pretty dumb when it comes to science so I’m still a little unclear how this mask works) drawing out dirt from your pores and leaving skin feeling soft and clean. Plus it’s weirdly satisfying to watch the charcoal mask change colors as it soaks into your pores.
Another bonus is that I’ve noticed that the pores on my nose look significantly smaller and that my t-zone hasn’t been quite as oily since I started using it 3x a week! Which basically makes the Supermud Clearing Treatment the Holy Grail of my beauty routine, and totally worth every penny that I spent on it. Although this mask is definitely on the expensive side, I only use it on my nose and sometimes my chin so it should last for a very, very long time. Plus if you buy it on Amazon like I did you can get a pretty sweet discount!
Do you guys have a favorite skin product that you can’t live without? I also love my Acure organic face wash and scrub!
