I’m Feeling Very Thankful This Year

November 26, 2015

Can you guys believe how fast 2015 flew by?? At this time last year, I was dreading graduating from university and now I’m loving my job and now I’m enjoying the holidays on the beaches of Maui (until Saturday, at least)! It’s incredible on how quickly things can change in just one year!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates (or just enjoys stuffing themselves with turkey and pumpkin pie!). After being in Hawaii for the past week and surrounded by such natural beauty, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I have to be thankful for and how my life would have been totally different without my loved ones in my life. So I’ve been making a list in my head and I make sure to let those people know how much I treasure having them in my life. So here’s a short thank you to everyone in my life:

Mom and dad–thank you for always supporting me and for listening to me even when I breakdown into tears after failing a test or getting a flat tire.

My sister–thank you for reminding that even though I’m older than you, that I’m certainly not cooler than you. And for keeping me up to date on cool slang terms since I’m practically a grandma now!

My friends–thank you for always being there for me and always having my back when I was too afraid to speak up for myself. I don’t know how I would have gotten through high school and college without y’all!

My boyfriend–thank you for loving me even though I drive you crazy sometimes, and always insisting that I’m the cuter one in our relationship. Even though you’re definitely the cuter one…

And to everyone else that I’ve met or talked to over the past year, thank you so much for encouraging me to be my best and for pushing me when I’m not. I love each and everyone one of you!

Who are you most thankful for this year? Make sure they know much they mean to you!!

  • Lots to always be thankful of, without a doubt! It’s amazing for us to wake up in the morning & breathe fresh air, as lots of people don’t have the privilege to do both of those things. I do feel like this year flew by rather quickly – I mean in the blink of an eye. People tell me the older I get, the faster time flies and I REALLY hope that’s not true! xx, adaatude.com

Thanksgiving is such a great holiday because not only can you eat as much as you want but it also gives you a chance to really think about what you’re thankful for!

  • This is such a wonderful post! I think most people like to skip over Thanksgiving and head straight into Christmas and Hanukkah etc, but Thanksgiving is such a great day to remember all the good things in our lives! Excellent post! 🙂

I’m a huge believer in not decorating my apartment for Christmas until after Thanksgiving! It’s just such a fun, family-oriented holiday!
