Life is a Journey

Life is a Journey // 5.24.2015

Post-grad life hasn’t been too much of a struggle so far. Mostly because I’ve just been catching up on TV and hanging out with my family, but next week I actually have “real person” plans to go apartment hunting and then I start working in early July. But for now I’m living in my little bubble on the couch happily watching Investigation Discovery and going out for runs every once in a while.

My Top 5 Moments:

  1. As I said earlier, I graduated from Wake Forest University on Monday morning. It’s absolutely crazy to think how fast the past four years flew by and that I’m going to be living in a whole new state within the next few months. I tend to get very teary and sentimental when I think about graduation but luckily I didn’t embarrass myself by crying during the ceremony, mostly because it was approximately 1000 degrees and I most likely sweated out all of my tears. Also, Stephen Colbert was the commencement speaker and it was absolutely AMAZING! Not only was his speech funny but was also inspirational. Here’s the link for his speech. He even brought up the debate over whether that dress was blue and black or white and gold… Obviously it was white and gold.

  1. As all of my friends (and basically anyone I’ve ever talked to) can tell you, I adore my pets and I’ve loved snuggling with them since I’ve been home.

  2. I finally decided to join the bandwagon and got a Fitbit. I’ve only had it for two days but I’m already really digging it. Mostly because I have motivation to get off my butt and go for a run or a walk; don’t want to get under 10,000 steps, that would just be embarrassing.

4. I tried quail egg pizza for the first time last night! It made me feel gourmet and was delicious to boot.

  1. On Friday, my family and I went to go see Far Away from the Madding Crowd at the local artsy movie theatre. Although it was a bit long in my opinion, the cinematography was beautiful and the acting was amazing especially Carrie Mulligan. She absolutely killed it as Bathsheba Everdene.

What were the best parts of y’all’s week?

I love those shoes that you wore! Oooh I’ve never tried quail eggs before. Might have to try them soon.

    • I got those wedges a few days before graduation because all of my friends are so much taller than me! They’re so cute!
