Sorry that this post is a day late but I got back last night from Elon University and was so wiped from playing frisbee all weekend that I passed out and slept for almost 12 hours… And while I’m always a fan of sleeping and napping but even I know that’s a bit excessive. I’m not complaining though because I got to spend the majority of this weekend outside enjoying the sun and running around with my teammates so it was an amazing two days.

My Top 5 Moments:

  1. On Monday, a few classmates and I interviewed a member of the Yadkin Riverkeepers, which is a group of environmentalists who serve to teach about and protect the Yadkin River. It’s for one of my Environmental Studies classes and it was an enlightening experience because despite the fact that I’ve lived in North Carolina for the past four years, I don’t actually know much about the surrounding area and the conservation efforts being done in Forsyth County.

  1. A few months ago I received a sample of the signature English Laundry perfume and it’s been my favorite ever since. The sample recently ran out, so I decided to treat myself by buying a full-size bottle and I’ve been wearing it every day since it was delivered.

  2. I had a pretty busy work week but now that I’ve gotten a bunch of exams and papers out of the way, I don’t have much work until exam week which leaves me time to focus on myself and my friends as we creep closer and closer to graduation (so scary!!).

  3. One of my favorite parts of college is the fact that professors will drop everything in order to have class outside. Now that the weather’s been absolutely brilliant for the past few weeks, I’ve had two classes just in the last week out on the lower quad of campus. It’s probably more distracting having class outside but just sitting in the grass under a cloudless sky is an experience that I wouldn’t give up for anything.

  4. This weekend was an exciting one in the ultimate frisbee community–my club team got first in Regionals and are going on to Nationals! The competition was tough, especially our last game against Elon University which we won 11-10 in hard cap, but we’ve always been the “little engine who could” and we fought it out to win the only bid to Nationals given to the Atlantic Coast division!
