Life is a Journey: My Top 5 Moments from this Week

December 7, 2014

It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to do another one of these posts! Life really creeps past you if you’re not paying attention, it seems.

My Top 5 Moments:

1. This past Tuesday was Wake Forest’s annual Lighting of the Quad. The event included performances by the various student A Capella groups, speakers, and a candle-lighting ceremony on the Upper Quad. This is actually the first time I’ve participated and the whole event made me really excited for the upcoming holiday season. Plus I love events that bring the whole student body together, especially when it’s for an event as beautiful as Lighting of the Quad.

2. Friday was my official second to last day of classes ever! It’s hard to believe that I’m already finished with my the first semester of my senior year. It doesn’t feel like four months have actually passed since I first moved into my apartment back in August!

3. The coach of my ultimate frisbee team threw a holiday party on Friday night and invited all of us to attend. There was baked brie and I even got to break out my Christmas tree headband for the special occasion.

4. My friends and I officially decided where we’ll be going for spring break–Cancun!! We had considered maybe going to the Dominican Republic but the hotel we would have stayed at apparently has terrible food and a lot of reviewers said that they ended up getting food poisoning… So that was a definite no. I’m so excited to be able to travel and spend the week lying out on the beach with some of my closest friends. Yay for warm weather!

5. I usually don’t participate in Cyber Monday shopping but I’ve been in desperate need of a new pair of tall boots for the past six months. So I popped on over to the DSW website to check out what they had available. I ended up sticking with one of my favorite shoe brands, Matisse. My past two pairs of tall boots have been of the same brand and I really just love the look and design of their shoes. I bought these in Cognac. Can’t wait for them to come in the mail!

What were the best parts of y’all’s week? xx
